The Study of Hospitalized Neuropsychiastric Patients in ROKVF

Abstract

|
The article was studied by 73 N-P patients who was hospitalized to 6th evacuation hospital ROKVF in Vietnam. Those patients was hospitalized from 1st, November, 1965 to 30th, November, 1966. The patients admitted from Tiger division, 2nd brigade, KMC and 1st logistic group during above mentioned term. Among the patients, 3 patients are readmitted cases.
This article has purpose for pick some epidemiological up from each specific classification.
The classification included age, unit, rank, speciality, disease entity, monthly or seasonal change (dry and wet season in middle of Vietnam), disposition or evacution and term of hospitalization. The Incidence of neuropsychiatric casualties was compared with the data of Col. William J. Tiffany, M. C. who also performed statistic study in Korean conflict and Vietnam War. The incidence of Korean Forces in Vietnam War. are approximately 3/1000 soldiers. It shows lower than 5/1000 of U. S. Army in Vietnam War By Col. Tiffany. There are remarcable difference of 24/1000 cases in Korean conflict by Col. Tiffany. The article reveals lower rate off combat neurosis compared with the conventional war. It also shows. The other items have each significant meaning in view point of somewhat epidemiology of battle casualtiesof neur-opsychiatry in ROKVF.
